Jaworski and James: A choice between Royalty and Loyalty

PBA- Philippine Basketball Association living legend Robert Jaworski and NBA-National Basketball Association king Lebron James have many things in common.

Known for their big hands and commanding big respect from their team. Leaders are what they are! The barometer of hardwork and excellence in both leagues. Possessing charisma that draw crowd from different walks of life gathered as one, idolizing and worshipping their court demigods. Both start with letter J on their family name.

PBA and NBA are like a birthday cake without a candle having no Jaworski and James. The two are the light that penetrates even to uncertain circumstances. They play multiple positions, put the ball on the floor, find the open teammate, slash to the basket, shoot for three, rebound well and even play defensively. When the game is on the line, they usually take the last shot. Striving and living to the pressure.

However, having two personas being alike is impossible, because we are made unique and different. So, what Jaworski and James haven’t in common?

While both have MVPs, Jaworski have Championship rings in his fingers and Lebron James is still struggling to capture the elusiveness of championship. That elusiveness forced him to leave his former team, a “decision” that the Living Legend never do with his team instead he just quit having such odds in his career. Until now Jaworski preserves his image as a true blooded GINEBRA stalwart. A greatest decision, making his image untarnished and mark an icon not only to the millions of Ginebra fans but the PBA.

On the other hand, King James leaves Cleveland and brings his talent to Miami. It created a pendulum effect to his once secure place. Now, he’s a subject of hate and becomes the icon of betrayal. His popularity has dropped significantly after his decision and the image of a KING become a story of the past. Not the king anymore but a coward soldier who retreat a battle!

After all, it’s a choice between royalty and loyalty.
