Did Mariel Call KC Concepcion a Copycat?

MANILA, Philippines - If rumors are to be believed, Mariel Rodriguez has badmouthed not only Toni Gonzaga, but KC Concepcion, too.

According to a source, Mrs. Robin Padilla allegedly said something negative about KC Concepcion when the former guested on the latter's show, "Simply KC," last May. The topic then was about growing up under the care of grandparents of which Mariel has first hand experience.

Talk has it that as soon as Mariel left the set, and while walking down the hallway, she was heard to have said that KC mimics her hosting style.

“Grabe, ginagaya n’ya ako. Ginagaya niya hosting style ko...”

Apparently, the remark was overheard by KC's production assistant who told the "Simply KC" host about it.

Recall that in her latest interview, during which she was asked about the falling out between Toni and Mariel, KC said, “Mas nakakasama ko nang harapan si Toni although Mariel and I text each other.”

KC added that when it comes to friendship, quality matters more than quantity.

Toni recently admitted publicly that she and Mariel are not on speaking terms. And although she did not disclose the reason for it, rumors have it that the falling out stems from Mariel saying bad things about Toni.

Reportedly, Mariel, in one instance, referred to Toni as “duling” (cross-eyed) which the latter got wind of through their mutual friend Anne Curtis. The disclosure allegedly led to a confrontation between Toni and Mariel.

On KTXT, Mariel has so far said but two statements about the matter: “Less talk, less mistakes” and “The truth shall prevail.”
