McLaren to go all out for title

Formula One title contenders McLaren have promised to throw everything, including "the kitchen sink", at the final races of the season to keep Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button's hopes alive.

Hamilton is 20 points behind Red Bull's Australian Mark Webber with four races, including Sunday's Japanese Grand Prix, remaining.

Button, the reigning champion is five points further back.

"We're throwing everything and the kitchen sink at it," managing director Jonathan Neale said.

"If we can pull a modification forwards, even if we've only got limited components, I'd rather have the drivers have that fraction of a second in lap time.

"We are running on the very lean edge of what we've got."

Hamilton has not finished three of his last four races and McLaren have fallen 24 points behind Red Bull in the constructors' standings.

Neale said his two drivers would have plenty to test at Suzuka in Friday practice.

"Certainly we're taking everything that we took to Singapore, and some more, to Japan," he added about developments.
