MANILA, Philippines – A shakeup has been made in this weekend’s schedule of the 73rd UAAP men’s basketball tournament.
Instead of seeing action on Sunday, the Ateneo de Manila Blue Eagles and National University (NU) Bulldogs will clash on Saturday, 4 p.m. at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.
The Ateneo-NU game will be preceded by the 2 p.m. fixture featuring the University of the East (UE) Red Warriors and University of the Philippines (UP) Fighting Maroons.
On Sunday, the Far Eastern University (FEU) Tamaraws will go against the Adamson Soaring Falcons at 2 p.m. at the PhilSports Arena (formerly ULTRA) in Pasig City.
This will be followed by the 4 p.m. contest between the University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers and De La Salle Green Archers.
FEU, the current standings leader with 4 wins as of July 26, and Adamson were originally slated to play on Saturday.
The undefeated Tamaraws are trailed by the Archers and Falcons, who have identical 3-1 cards.
Defending champion Ateneo, NU and UST have 2 wins and 2 losses while UE and UP are winless at 0-4.
