Queues formed early in Commission on Elections offices on the last day of registration for the local youth council or Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.
In Manila, radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported several youths started to line up at the Comelec office before it opened at 8 a.m.
The line was shorter than that observed last Saturday, when it stretched all the way to Quezon Bridge leading to the city's Quiapo district.
For its part, the Comelec stressed there will be no more extension of the registration after 7 p.m. Sunday.
Last Friday, registrants for both the barangay (village) and SK polls – scheduled for October 25 – also lined up at Comelec offices.
The registration period for the village elections ended last Friday. — LBG, GMANews.TV
