Gertrude “Luna” Vachon, an ex-World Wrestling Entertainment star, died Friday morning in Florida. She was 48.
According to TMZ, Luna had been living with her mother because her house recently burned down. She was found dead by her mom at around 10 in the morning. Authorities have not yet determined the cause of death.
In a statement released by WWE, it said, “World Wrestling Entertainment has been made aware of the passing of Gertrude (Luna) Vachon. WWE extends its deepest condolences to the Vachon family.”
Vachon was born in 1962 and was the daughter of Paul “Butcher” Vachon, niece of Maurice “Mad Dog” Vachon and Vivian Vachon, who were all legendary wrestlers. She began her wrestling career in 1986 and retired in 2007. Her last WWE stint was in early 2000.
