MANILA-PHILIPPINES-The National University Bulldogs got a big lift from Jewel Ponferada whose 3points shots in the dying seconds lifted the NU Bulldogs over the Adamson Falcons,62-59,in the second game of the 73rd UAAP Basketball tournament held at the Araneta Coliseum.
Ponferada finished with 11 points,6 rebounds and 1 block,denying the Falcons a chance to get a possible twice to beat advantage.
The win also practically assured FEU and Ateneo and the one and two slots respectively,leaving their schedule match up with DLSU on Thursday to determined who will meet the top seeded teams.
DLSU also succumbed to a 80-74 loss at the hands of the UE Warriors in the first game.
Joseph Terso of NU provided the necessary support for the Ponferrada by scoring 9points grabbing 2 rebounds and issuing 2 assist.
