Smart Gilas has requested the services of three PBA superstar (L-R: Williams,Yap and Taulava)to reinforce its squad in the quadrennial meet set in November in Ghuangzou China.
Manila Philippines-The participation of James Yap,Asi Taulava and Kelly Williams in the coming Asean Games will be one of agenda when the PBA board of governors starts its three day planning session this Sunday in Bangkok Thailand.
Smart Gilas has requested the services of three PBA superstars to reinforce in the quadrennial meet set in November in Ghuangzou China.
PBA chairman Rene Pardo of B-Meg Derby Ace will preside over the meeting as he formally takes the spot prevously held by Lito Alvarez of Air21,joining him are Rain Or Shine Mamerto Mondragon and Jaybee Baylon of Powerade,The new Vice Chairman and treasurer respectively.
Also in the agenda is the proposed refined rule made by new PBA commissioner Chito Salud.
"The PBA office has already discussed this rules with member of the team's coaching staff and the PBA media partners.We believed the simplified version of the rules will prevent confusion and errors," Said Salud.
Aside from that,the board will discussed and hopefully finalized the allowable heights for imports of the Second and third conference.The board already agreed on the return of the original PBA format off three conference.
Another issue in the agenda is the possibility of establishing a PBA Developmental League armids of reports of the failed merger between philippines Basketball League(PBL) and Liga ng Pilipinas
"The governors are looking deeply into it.They are monitoring the progress of the PBL-LIGA merger and are aware of the uncertaintes," Salud said.
SBP chairman Manny V.Pangilinan,who is also the team owner of Talk N'Text and Meralco,already asked the PBA help to allow three players reinforced the Smart Gilas

"The Smart Gilas program is young and promising program,So in whatever way the PBA can assist,we shall not hesitate,Salud said.
He added,"Regardless of the decision on Board on wheter or not to loan the three stars,the PBA must arrive at a long term opertional arrangement with the SBP that specifically defines the PBA role in aiding SBP's international basketball program
