The "Leadership by example"of President Benigno Simeon NoyNoy Aquino III in not using "wangwang" (sirens blinkers) is paying off a traffic enforcer are now noticing less case road abused involving the gadgets.
Metro Manila Development Authority(MMDA)General Manager Roberto Nacianceno said Monday motorist now follow the law while the violators have run out of excuses.
"ang napapansin namin di namin kilangan manghuli,ang daming compliance,at walang sasakay at sumisingit sa traffic at wangwang at counterflow(We noticed did not have to go after violators that much.Now very few vehnicles try to use sirens and go to the flows
off traffic,Nacianceno said in an interview on Dzbb radio.
He said traffic enforcers can now confront abusive motorist who flash calling card or drop names of powerful figures,and then tell them aquino himself is following traffic rules.
"Napakagaling at napagaan ang aming trabaho (Aquino leadership example is good and he made our work so much ligther),"he said.
Aquino,in his inaugural speech on June 30,called the wangwang a symbol enequality and rejected using it.
However,he is known to be arrived late at some public engagement due to his insistent to obey the traffic rules and refusal to use wangwang.
Meanwhile,Nanciano said he will meet with concern traffic group this week to take up measure against colurum public utility vechilces,including buses and jeeps.
Colurums refers to a private vehicle operated public utility purpose without a valid permit provisional authority,or franchise.
Aside from the issue of colurum vehicles,Nacianceno said he also hopes to discuss with transport groups the possible revival of the number coding scheme.which restrict buses flying from their routes on certaine days.depending on thier plate number.-VVP GMANEWS.TV
